JLSF partnered with ArtsInStark, to provide art  classes as a  permanent part of the  curriculum for all Jackson third graders.

One of the  Foundation’s goals of establishing permanent art programs in all four of the district’s elementary schools, something the community has wanted for decades, began with third grade classes. While local artists visited the classrooms; teachers, students and  parent volunteers were taught how to meld the creative and fun aspects of art with  educational studies,  by making  Family Tree Mobiles. The mobiles  accompanied  the student’s studies of  generational  stories.
